but I didn't stay for the second one. I was up all night last night, just had the nervous, anxious feeling. I just had a good feeling and wanted the game to hurry up and start.

First and foremost, I'd like to congratulate the Burton Raiders for their season. I'd also like to thank them for being an extremely classy bunch today. That was a heck of a football game, and I think that both teams played very hard. I'd like to throw a little extra recognition to the Ethan Stewart. After an extremely tough loss, he was very nice, very respectful to the Clintwood players and staff. I wish him unlimited success in whatever he did. I think several of the other Norton players were very classy, but I only caught some of his comments. Not looking to overlook others, just going by what I heard myself.

Second, I'm impressed with the effort the Wave had today. Quite a few people gave up on them early in the year and it would have been very easy for them to have gave up on themselves. The coaching staff kept adjusting, kept coaching them and the players kept trying to get better, and I think the players honestly believed that they would win today, even though very few people outside of that locker room did.

Third, even though I didn't stay for the last game, very shocked about GC beating PV. I know some on here are downing the spread, but the spread had also been very instrumental in them beating GC several times in their past streak. GC has been improving a lot as the season went on, but I thought the turf would help PV enough for them to overcome GC. Kind of shocking that the two teams who were supposed to be victims of the turf came out on top today.

I know there are some who don't like the UVA-Wise idea, but I think its a great place for games. It creates an atmosphere, and thus far has lent itself to some great games.
